At 56 years of age I am cruising into the finale of working for a living day in, day out. In just a few more months I hope to be hitting the links and taking my girlfriends money for all those birdies and deuces!Have loved working for myself for most of my career, especially the short commute to my office. Although being self-employed is soooooo much harder than working for someone else. The biggest downside is being the first one to work, the last to leave, and invariably being completely responsible for everything. But, having been on both sides of the fence I can honestly say I’d take the hard work, risk and going solo over reporting to someone else.I’m pretty sure I’ll want to keep my finger into something entrepreneurial even if it’s a couple hours a week or month. It’s not like me to go cold turkey into retirement.
